The Maricopa Association of Governments’ Heat Relief Network is a regional partnership of organizations unified in a concerted effort to mitigate the effects of extreme summer temperatures on vulnerable populations in Arizona.
Recognizing that extreme heat is not just a mild discomfort but a significant public health issue, the Heat Relief Network steps in as a beacon of hope for many. The intense summers of Arizona, particularly in Maricopa County, often lead to heat-related illnesses, and in some unfortunate cases, deaths.
